Privacy policy

Last updated October 26, 2026

This policy explains what information QR Studio handles when you use this website and its tools, and what it does not. The generator is built to work without collecting your data: codes are created in your browser.

01Contact

QR Studio is a free personal project. For any privacy question, write to isaacandresscr@gmail.com.

02Codes are created in your browser

QR codes are generated on your device by code running in your browser. The links, text, Wi-Fi details (including the password), contact details and logos you enter are not sent to any server and are not stored: they are gone when you close or reload the page.

Logos are read by your browser and only embedded in the file you download. PNG and SVG downloads are created on your device.

Keep in mind that anything you put in a QR code can be read by anyone who scans it. For example, a Wi-Fi code shows the network password, and a contact card shows the details you include.

03Multiple-links codes

A multiple-links code opens the /l/ page of this website. Your links are written into the address itself, after the # sign. Browsers do not send that part of an address to the server, so the page reads and lists the links on the device of whoever scans the code. These lists are not stored anywhere.

The visit to the /l/ page reaches our hosting provider like any other page view (see “Hosting”), but without the list of links. Because the links are part of the address, anyone who has the code can see them, and they may remain in the browser history of whoever opens it. Selecting a link takes you out of QR Studio to a third-party site with its own terms.

04Hosting and technical logs

This website is served by Cloudflare Workers (Cloudflare, Inc.). Like any web server, a hosting provider may record technical data about each visit, such as IP address, browser, the page requested and the date and time, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Exactly what is recorded, where it is processed and how long it is kept depends on that provider: according to its privacy policy, Cloudflare processes visitors’ interactions with the websites it serves, which may include IP addresses and traffic routing data; it stores information primarily in the United States and the European Economic Area and may access it from around the world. Cloudflare does not publish a fixed retention period for these logs. More at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.

05When you contact us

The contact form does not send anything by itself: it opens your email app with the message ready. If you choose to send it, the message leaves from your own email account and arrives at isaacandresscr@gmail.com. No QR Studio server receives or stores it.

What we receive and why: your email address, your name if you include it and the content of your message. We use them only to reply to you. We do not use them for marketing or share them with anyone. Without a valid email address we cannot reply.

Where it is kept: only in the inbox, hosted by Gmail, a Google service. There is no other database.

Legal basis: your consent, which you give by writing to us. You can withdraw it at any time by asking us to delete your messages.

Retention: we keep messages for 12 months after the last message in the conversation, so we can follow up on related questions, and then delete them.

06International transfers

Technical hosting data is processed by Cloudflare, which stores information primarily in the United States and the European Economic Area.

Messages you send us are kept in Gmail, a Google service. According to that provider’s privacy policy, information may be processed on servers outside the country where you live.

We do not sell or pass personal data to anyone else.

07Browser storage and cookies

QR Studio does not set cookies. It only saves your preferred language in your browser’s local storage when you switch language. The cookie policy has the details.

08Analytics, advertising and third parties

QR Studio does not use analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and does not make automated decisions or build profiles. Fonts and icons are served from this website, so visiting it does not connect your browser to third-party services.

The codes you create may open third-party services when someone scans them, such as WhatsApp, Google Maps or a social network. That happens outside QR Studio, under those services’ own terms.

09Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification and updating, deletion, objection, portability, suspension of processing and not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated assessments by writing to isaacandresscr@gmail.com.

If you think we have not handled your request properly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Note that the generator does not keep the content of your codes, so there is no record of it to access or delete.

10Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
